Hot Summer Days

Well we are all surviving the hot summer days here at the Country Nelson's. It helps that we have a new central air unit and the pool should be in hopefully this weekend! Till then we spend a lot of time playing in the water table and a little blow up baby pool! It's lots of fun and helps cool us off. Preston especially likes pull out the water toys real fast so they splash all over!
Here are a few pictures of our summer happenings!
Just before Preston's first trip to Valley View swimming pool.
Oh ya! We started climbing everything. Yikes!!!
Hannah and Lilly spent a day with us. This is their REAL tea party! (actual tea and cookies were served!)

This is our newest member of the family Ruby.

We will truly miss our Peya but Ruby will help us through.

Puppeya Liver Girl

As I write this I am pretty overwhelmed with grief, but I feel that I need to honor one of the sweetest, most loving dogs I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I got Peya 5 years ago and I went to pick her up with my dad and my good friend Jenny. We knew she was special right away as she immediately snuggled in and slept the 2 hour ride home. Peya had a huge heart and felt everything. When I would watch movies if I laughed, cried or even just made a sigh Peya would come over plop her head on my lap and make sure I was alright. I never had to tell her too many times to do something like lay down or no. She never wanted to upset me. Living in the country is wonderful. We have a big yard where Peya spent a lot of her time. It was wonderful to not have to tie her up, put her on a leash or a pen. She was a good girl as Preston would say and she stayed in the yard and even knocked on the door when she wanted back in. Though this free life style does not come without a little risk. Peya got into something on the farm and became very ill and today at 12:30pm, Peya passed on. We are very sad and will miss her very much!

Good Girl Peya!
We love you!

The birthday party was a success! The cakes turned out pretty good and Preston made it through presents, lots of pictures and cake. It's so hard to believe that it has been a whole year! Jeremy and I have taken everything in and have learned so much from Preston. Here are some fun pictures of his birthday celebration.

The cake! He just played in it until I gave him a taste then it was all over!

Yummy!

How incriminating!

The red frosting maybe wasn't the best choice!
