Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. This has been a fun year for us. Preston is a lot of fun to watch! He especially loves to eat the wrapping paper and bows. We spent Christmas Eve at Jeremy's Grandpa Glenn's house where he got his first wagon from Grandpa and Grandma Arizona. Preston was tired and a little cranky but when it came to opening presents his mood changed to sweet and cute! Typical!

Christmas morning we spent at home and we get to stay home all day! This is a huge change from our normal run to 20 places routine. It is really nice. We spent the morning opening up gifts and eating breakfast as a family. Preston got some more toys from his Grammy and Papaw. He has learned that when the camera is around he should smile:) It is so funny. Here he is displaying his new toys for the camera!

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
Love,
The Country Nelson's

Winter Days

It's incredibly cold outside these days and Preston and I have been staying warm inside. He had his new hat and mittens on the other day and I thought these were blog worthy photos! The hat is still a little big but the mittens keep those busy hands warm!

Preston loves his jumper these days. He jumps and jumps and jumps....
Check out the cute hat my friend Leslie got for him. He looks so grown up in it!

The last picture shows his dare devil side! I caught him sitting up in his swing the other day! Kinda scary for me but he thought it was pretty funny!

An Afternoon in the Kitchen

What will Preston be like when he grows up? Often I find myself wondering what kind of personality my little guy will have. No doubt with his silly parents he will be quite animated. What will his interests be? What kinds of things will make him happy? I could ponder this thought all day. Today however, I caught a few moments that shed a little light on his future interests.
Maybe he'll be like his daddy and learn how to fix things

Hey how does this thing work?

I think I could build one of these!

Or maybe he'll take after his mommy and cook lots of food for his family and friends!

I'm helping my mommy make cookies!

Here you go mom here's that bowl you wanted!

Or then again maybe he will take after his daddy!

Mmmmmm... Chocolate chips!

Six Months!

Today was Preston's six month appointment. He weighed in at 16lbs. 11oz. Doc says he is very proportional in his growth showing 5oth percentile in height weight and head circumference. Four shots and many tears shed by both Preston and Mom and we were on our way home with a healthy baby!

Daddy is so much fun to play with!

Mommy is so good to cuddle with!

This is one of the pictures we took during a photo session by the Christmas tree. We were trying to get a good photo for a Christmas card. We had a few cute ones like this but you'll have to wait for the winner!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Preston is all dressed up for his first Halloween. It is a beautiful day here 75 degrees and perfect for all the kids dressed up for trick or treating.

Preston's trip to Great Grandma Joans for his first (and only) trick or treating experience.

Only one house but trick or treating makes you tired when you don't get the sugar buzz!

What a Face!

Lots of giggles these days and I think he has us wrapped around his finger! He thinks dogs are hilarious. He also laughs when mommy tells him he is rotten! I am in trouble. I think he is going to be quite the character.

Let's Jump!

Got out the jumper. It's fun but.........

Let's see how it tastes!

Trip to Nana and Papa Bob's House in Northwest Iowa

We went to the Ice Cream Capital of the World in La Mars, Iowa. That is where Blue Bunny is located. Preston looked like he might want a taste of Daddy's sundae! Family photo!
Sink bath at Nana's. So funny! Preston was laughing and smiling and wondering why everyone was watching him take a bath.

A Fall Walk

All bundled for a walk with mom and dad. Such great weather lately and Preston loves to be outside. Not sure what we'll do when it's too cold to go out:)

Playing is lots of work!

The other day it got really quiet in the living room and I went in to check on Preston and he was fast asleep playing with his toys! Silly boy!

Preston is 4 Months Old!

Preston had his 4 month doctor visit today. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He weighs 14lbs 15oz and measures 24.5 inches! That means he grew 2 inches and gained almost 3lbs since his 2 month appointment. This month he has been smiling so much more, rolling over and becoming much more vocal. Here are some new pics!

This is a new chair we got for him that supports him when he sits. He likes the change of scenery!
